You've got to see it to believe it.

For as long as I can remember, my landlord's old, rusted-out, formerly sporty convertible car sat outside our kitchen window, blocking our luxurious view of the rest of the driveway and the side of the neighbor's house. Ah! Semi-basements!

There's a picture of the view with the car somewhere in my flickr photostream.

But today when Ptichka arrived home, she called me outside to gape at the sight to the right. Where the landlord's old, rusted-out, formerly sporty convertible car sat, there is now nothing.

Of course, there's a tree growing pretty close to the house now. I hope that it doesn't mess with the foundation. And where the tires had been, there are now divets.

I'm not quite sure what to think about the absence of car. I feel a bit bad for the household cats. The car's top was black and every afternoon it was covered with cats.
