Last Friday, a friend of Ptichka's parents asked me who would read the diss when it was finished. I answered truthfully: "No one." Mon oncle continued my answer: "Because they'll watch the movie." There was much laughter but I don't think that the idea is half bad.

Hey, those guys who made that "Open Water" movie are probably laughing all the way to the bank about their little, lo-budget movie so why not a scholarly dissertation?
