The theme was words and I wasn't quite sure what that meant. Do I illustrate a word? Do I write words using my best possible penmanship, which is, admittedly, pretty crappy? Do I go all Somerset Studio and stick some random inspiring words like "joy" and "dreams" on an unrelated spread?

I did none of the above and opted for some painted pages from a Russian lit textbook and a Russian law dictionary. In my defense, there are plenty of words in the spread.
