The Last (?) in a Series

I've had a bunch of crows and ravens decos pass through my hands in the past month or so. I still have one more to do but it can wait because I'm tired of the theme. That's the problem with people associating you with certain themes: after you've decided that you and the theme need to take a break, people keep sending you decos in the theme. And those decos often wind up hanging out for a couple of months. I do make sure that everyone's comfortable in the waiting room but...

To the left is the last blackbird deco page that I did gladly. Obonai paper, momi, chiyogami, Indian paper, and silk thread. Each bird has a French knot for an eye. French knots - not only do they look cool, but they also ensure that momi, which is a pain to adhere to anything, stays put.

There's nothing under the fold.

so beautiful! I'd no idea you were inundated with black birds of all stripes . I wonder what's next. I just love your paperworks. I'm going to learn the coptic stitch! I made up my own version this afternoon...hey, well, the book is holding together at any rate...

Thanks you two!

I have no idea what's next. I have quite a few mask decos sitting in my to-do box, along with some honeybee decos and words decos. Maybe they're the next big thing?

I can't do coptic stitch to save my life. I also have my own personal version. It doesn't look as fancy but it holds...
